A bali yacht rendezvous seaplane charter — joining or leaving a phinisi off Bali, Lombok, Sumbawa or Komodo waters by air — is only legal when the water landing happens inside a certified, coordinated water aerodrome area, because Indonesia’s shipping law (Undang-Undang No. 17 Tahun 2008) governs vessel-side coordination in that same water space. Juara Holding Group is an independent coordination desk, not an aircraft operator: we line up captain, licensed operator and AirNav before we confirm anything.
Is a yacht rendezvous by seaplane actually legal in Indonesia?
Yes, but only within a registered water aerodrome. Under Peraturan Pemerintah No. 40 Tahun 2012 and the Manual of Standard CASR Part 139 Volume III (SKEP/227/VIII/2010, updated by KP 206 Tahun 2021), a water aerodrome for seaplanes up to 30 seats has to be certified and registered like any airport (CASR 139.101), with obstacle-height control and a published Letter of Operational Coordination Agreement between the operator, AirNav Indonesia and the relevant maritime unit. A water landing outside that registered footprint — an ad-hoc anchorage next to a yacht with no coordination agreement in place — is not something any licensed operator can lawfully fly, whatever the weather looks like.
That means our desk cannot promise a landing “wherever the boat happens to be.” We can only offer a rendezvous inside a site that already carries, or can reasonably obtain in time, a coordination agreement covering that water space. One honest flag here: how a specific yacht anchorage gets folded into that coordination area is something we work out case by case with the operator and AirNav — it is not a published, standing rule, so we treat it as a planning inference until the operator confirms it in writing for your dates.
What rendezvous formats can the desk arrange?
| Format | How it works | Best suited to |
|---|---|---|
| Anchorage water landing + tender | Aircraft lands inside a coordinated water aerodrome area close to the yacht’s anchorage; your tender collects guests and luggage from the aircraft | Vessels already anchored inside, or near, a certified water aerodrome zone |
| Nearest certified site + tender run | Aircraft lands at the closest registered water aerodrome to your cruising ground; the yacht repositions its tender (sometimes the yacht itself) to that point | Vessels underway in Komodo, Sumbawa or Lombok waters where the anchorage itself isn’t inside a coordinated zone |
| Certified airport + marina transfer | Aircraft lands at a registered airstrip (amphibious or land); a marina or jetty transfer, usually by car and speedboat, closes the last leg to the yacht | Guests joining a charter at the start or end of a multi-day cruise, where a few extra hours of transfer is acceptable |
No public route page from any operator currently covers a scheduled Bali–Komodo, Bali–Sumbawa-anchorage or Bali–Lombok water landing built specifically for yacht rendezvous, as of September 2026. Treat every format above as feasibility-on-request, confirmed leg by leg once an operator reviews your coordinates.
Can the aircraft taxi right up to my phinisi?
Only inside a coordinated water aerodrome area, and only if the operator’s Letter of Operational Coordination Agreement extends to that specific anchorage. Where it does, the aircraft can taxi close enough for a short tender run rather than a long transfer; where it doesn’t, the desk will route you to the nearest certified site instead. CASR Part 91 Amendment 5 also requires every seaplane on the water to carry a life jacket per person, sound-signal equipment per COLREGs, and an anchor or sea anchor when needed — so the aircraft itself is equipped to sit alongside your vessel safely for the handover, not just to land and taxi off.
Who actually talks to the captain — the airline or the desk?
The desk does. Your captain deals with one point of contact: us. We take the vessel’s position, tender capability and weather read from the captain, translate that into what the water-aerodrome operator and AirNav need to see, and relay the confirmed flight window back to the boat. Charter flights of this kind fly under an Air Operator Certificate — one operator active around Bali and Banyuwangi runs under PT Wisarada Sapanta Utama’s AOC 135-067, per its own published South Bali–Sumbawa route page — meaning CASR Part 135 rules apply to how that operator plans and confirms the leg, not to what the captain and desk agree on logistics.
What information does the desk need before it can quote?
| Field | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Vessel name and flag | Identifies the boat to the operator and to AirNav/maritime coordination |
| Anchorage or cruising coordinates | Determines which certified water aerodrome (or nearest alternative) applies |
| Tender freeboard height | Confirms guests and crew can transfer safely between tender and aircraft float |
| Sea-state and wind forecast for the window | Seaplane operations are daylight-only and weather-, tide- and sea-state-dependent; this sets the go/no-go |
| Passenger count and luggage weight | Feeds the operator’s weight-and-balance planning for the aircraft type assigned |
Send these five details in one message and the desk can usually tell you same-day whether a rendezvous is feasible for your dates.
What does it cost, and how long does it take?
| Format | Flight time (desk estimate) | Pricing model |
|---|---|---|
| Anchorage water landing + tender | Roughly 30–70 minutes airborne, route-dependent | Quote on request — full-aircraft charter, positioning leg, landing/handling fees |
| Nearest certified site + tender run | Roughly 30–70 minutes airborne, plus tender time | Quote on request — as above, plus any extra tender coordination |
| Certified airport + marina transfer | Flight time varies by route, plus 30–90 minutes ground/marina transfer | Quote on request — charter fare plus separately arranged transfer |
No verified IDR or USD seaplane charter fares exist publicly as of 2026, so we don’t publish per-seat or hourly numbers — anyone who does for this route should be read with caution. What we can confirm once an operator reviews your dates: whether the full aircraft is chartered as one block, whether a positioning leg from the operator’s base adds cost, and whether landing and handling fees apply at the water aerodrome you’re using. Route timings above are desk estimates, not operator-confirmed schedules, until you have a written quote in hand.
How does booking a rendezvous actually work?
- Send vessel and rendezvous details — the five-field information sheet above, by WhatsApp or email.
- Desk checks feasibility against the nearest certified water aerodrome and which AOC-135 operator can cover your dates.
- Desk coordinates directly with your captain, the operator’s ops team, and AirNav/the relevant maritime unit.
- Operator issues written confirmation — duration estimate, aircraft type, and a firm quote.
- Desk relays final logistics — boarding point, tender timing, contingency plan — 24 to 48 hours ahead of the flight.
Arrange a rendezvous
Send your vessel name, anchorage coordinates and preferred window to the Juara Holding Group concierge desk on WhatsApp at 6281139414563, or email bd@juaraholding.com. We are an independent broker arranging your rendezvous with licensed operators — we don’t own the aircraft or the yacht, and every quote above is subject to change until an operator confirms it in writing. Yacht purchase, refit or investment questions are routed separately to our boat-concierge line, not handled through this charter desk.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can a seaplane land directly next to my yacht anywhere in Komodo waters?
Only if your anchorage falls inside a registered water aerodrome’s coordination area. Outside that footprint, no licensed operator can legally land there. The desk checks your coordinates against known coordinated zones first; if your anchorage sits outside one, we offer the nearest certified site plus a tender run instead.
Who is legally allowed to coordinate a yacht-seaplane rendezvous in Indonesia?
Coordination sits between the AOC-135 operator, AirNav Indonesia and the relevant maritime authority under the shipping law (UU No. 17/2008) and aviation law (UU No. 1/2009). Our desk is the single point of contact that gathers your vessel details and relays them into that process — we don’t issue the coordination agreement ourselves.
What documents or details does the desk need before it will quote a price?
Vessel name and flag, anchorage or cruising coordinates, tender freeboard height, your sea-state and wind forecast window, and passenger count with luggage weight. With those five details the desk can usually confirm feasibility the same day and pass your request to an operator for a written quote.
How much lead time does a yacht rendezvous seaplane charter actually need?
Plan for at least several days, longer if your anchorage sits outside an already-coordinated water aerodrome zone, since that requires operator and AirNav sign-off before a flight can be scheduled. Same-week requests are sometimes feasible for sites with an existing coordination agreement, but the desk will tell you honestly if your dates are too tight.
What happens if sea state or weather turns bad on the rendezvous day?
Seaplane operations are daylight-only and depend on weather, tide and sea state, so the operator can delay or reposition the flight rather than fly an unsafe landing. The desk keeps your captain updated on the go/no-go call and works with the operator on the nearest safe alternative window or site.
